First of all, shout out to Nicole Sforza Photography for this referral!
Sometimes my couples need a little help planning out their proposals, which I love. Richard didn’t need any of that though, he was a man with a plan!
He told me all about his plan during our first call. He & his girlfriend, Lauren, would be traveling up to Boston for a volleyball tournament. One night, he planned to take her out to dinner in the city & propose. Knowing how iconic the Public Garden is, he wanted to pop the question on the bridge – so perfect!
He had some of their family & close friends also travel up to Boston to add to the surprise. I met their best friends in the Public Garden, along with their fur babies. We waited in the chilly spring air to get Rich’s signal text that they were on their way – showtime!
When I saw them walking into the garden, their friends walked across the bridge to meet them in the middle. When Lauren saw them coming – with her dog! – you could see her start to understand what was happening. It was so cute!
I was so worried it was going to be jam-packed, but I think the weather scared some people inside, thankfully. I was able to hide a little behind a pillar & get some photos, then move around the bridge to get some different angles. It actually worked out so well! The Garden may not have been it’s usual bright, green, beauty, but the bridge & city backdrop spoke for itself to create some beautiful memories.
Of course, Lauren said yes to spending forever with Richard! After a mini engagement session, they all headed off to drop off the puppers & join their families for dinner to celebrate!
